I hate conservative activist judges, dammit!

I'm hoping this represents the first movement of the pendulum the other way.

It ain't over, dammit! I understand the president is mulling whether to veto the decision or have the CIA fly the prisoners to undisclosed locations in Eastern Europe in the dark of night. And why isn't **** Cheney returning his phone calls.

This president doesn't mull, dammit. He acts. Generally with unsurprisingly bad consequences.

The president can't veto a supreme court decision. I suppose this one would try, though.

Hell, he may send the Supremes to Gitmo.

Scalia said the nation is ''at war with radical Islamists'' and that the court's decision ''will make the war harder on us. It will almost certainly cause more Americans to be killed.''

I thought Scalia was a strict constitutionist. Where in the constitution does it say wars should be fought easily?

I agree with Scalia. I think we suspend the constitution whenever it appears things may be getting dicey.

I mean, if we arrested everyone who looks a little sketchy, think of all the crimes we'd prevent!

I'll bet you anything that tonight Michael Savage will call for Bush to do that, all the while yelling "The stench from the bench is making me clench!".

Interesting. So Scalia thinks the Constitutional rights to be given terror suspects will cause more Americans to be killed? Mr. Justice...care to quantify your answer with a little, y'know, logic? How exactly will that work?

Amazing that four of our justices are perfectly willing to Charminize the constitution.

I hope you're not getting this snippy over a quote in a news report. Read the opinion & then attack the logic. And it doesn't say that wars should be easy, but it also doesn't say that it applies to non-citizens. Again, I think you should read what they write before saying that the isolated quotes don't make an entire argument.
