This is very likely a d_b for those much hipper than I, but you need to check this out: An outrageously costumed Finnish band, backed by the Red Army Men's Chorus, rocking out on "Sweet Home Alabama," all phonetically pronounced.

I love the grins of sheer joy on the Red Army chorus guys as they sing "Alabama!!"

This is definitely my new favorite band. I especially love the B52s woman who doesn't sing or play an instrument, but just dances from side to side.

Worth playing just for the part where the Red Army soldier sings.

EDIT: Even better clip:

Wow.

That's the funniest damn thing I've seen in some time. Can you imagine this 20 years ago?

When I was in college, during happy hour at the campus pub one Friday, a couple of French exchange students got the management to charge everyone a few bucks to hear them sing and play guitar. They were reading the lyrics to Pink Floyd's "Comfortably Numb" out of a book. And they sucked.
Eventually the manager told them to get off the stage and give everyone their money back.

Leningrad Cowboys? They've been around for quite a while.

I thought this was going to be about that GWAR-ish band from Finland that won the Eurovision contest a few years back.

I give you ... Lordi!

It's your day of rockening!
