Amazing how whenver Roger really needs a point, he pulls that serve down the middle out of his bag and Berdych can't do anything with it.

I doubt Berdych can survive a fifth set but he made it tough on Federer to close out the fourth.
Now, it's probably all Federer.

We go to five, and I have to abandon ship. I am confident that when I awake, Federer will have advanced.

My thoughts exactly right now.

Meanwhile, Roddick looking very impressive ... until Djokovic kicks his ass in the quarters.

Not sure why I'm up, but a great match between Dokic and Klebanova just finished. It took 3 hours, but Dokic continued her improbable comeback.

It's strange and exciting to watch Federer these days. I'm still not completely over his dominant era where he could roll through early round matches in an hour, but I can see that he's on the tail end of that part of his career.

Still it takes a great player to knock him off because he doesn't get rattled often and when he does he still has the ability to fight through it without showing too much frustration.

Now I'm hopeful Roddick will somehow upset Djerkovic but I doubt it.

I'm pissed I fell asleep early in the third set of the Dokic match.

Roddick looks cockier than he's ever been, thanks in large part to one of the easiest draws ever, and I suspect he's going to get drilled in the next couple of days when he plays someone with actual weapons.

And can ESPN please move the sideline guys away from the photographers? I'm tired of hearing the constant click of shutters going off during points because Bud or Pam or whoever has an open mic.

Serena might be the next one in trouble, down a set to No.13 seed Azarenka, and trying to stave off an early break in the second.

Serena up a break in the second...Azarenko reeling, looks ready to pass out
