"He got an excellent buyout offer, which he says he wanted. He's landed in a nice pasture."

If what he wanted was a buyout, why didn't he take one any of the times it's been offered over the past year (unless he wasn't eligible?). Seriously, give us all a break. You make it sound like Parker is thrilled with his situation - yeah, right. The guy left the paper disgraced, with a litany of offenses. He left behind a high-paying job at a time when NO ONE is hiring. So until I hear it from Parker himself, while he's hooked up to a lie detector test (without first having been coached by George Costanza) I'm not buying the drivel you're delivering, drip.
I'm not certain if he was eligible or not to be honest with you. I don't think he was offered anything that would've made him seriously think about taking a buyout earlier.
The guy says he's happy and he's ok. I pretty much have to take him on his word.

Nah. You could have used an anonymous source.

Yes, I'm beating a dead horse.

But Rob? The quarterback you accused of beating a hockey player? Well, other than a Spartan athlete, you were a wee bit off... ****tard...

MSU suspends RB Glenn Winston over fight

By SHANNON SHELTON • FREE PRESS SPORTS WRITER • March 11, 2009

EAST LANSING -- Michigan State freshman running back/kick returner Glenn Winston has been suspended indefinitely from the team after pleading guilty to two misdemeanor charges from his involvement in a fight Oct. 19.

Winston pleaded guilty in East Lansing's 54B District Court to one count of aggravated assault and one count of assault and battery for his role in a fight that involved MSU football and hockey players. Hockey player A.J. Sturges received a head injury during the altercation and was forced to miss the 2008-09 season.

Winston is scheduled to be sentenced April 29.

How long until drippy sees this?
Slappy, a person on an internet message board who thinks he knows everything about Michigan, has an issue with Rob Parker, a former Detroit News columnist. Rob is no longer writing and it's a cheap shot to blast a guy who is not in the business. It's a shame that Rob is still on Slappy's mind. Perhaps a session with Dr. Phil or Dr. Ruth could help.
Just thinkin....
