Hell, this could be a trivia question. I bet most of the board would have no clue, without looking it up.
Hee hee hee HAW HAW.
I actually used to watch that show.

If I wanted to watch TV at the time that it was on, I was forced to watch because my parents loved it. So I know the Hager Brothers well. Wish I knew Gunilla Hutton or Barbi Benton better.

There are a lot of key figures on that show who have passed, I'm afraid.

The show has roots in Canada, believe it or not.

Saturday nights, I believe. As said before, if I wanted to watch TV at that time, I had to watch it. My dad loved that crap. Hee hee hee haw haw haw. For obit info, call BR-549. Ask for Junior.

It was Saturdays, I used to watch it on sleep overs at my grandparents house.
That and Lawrence Welk.
Borderline child abuse.

There was a reason it was placed where it was, I think. Counter-programming something maybe. I'll see if my friend google can help me.

It was the summer replacement for The Smothers Brothers show. It was canceled a year later when all the CBS 'rural' shows were axed by Fred Silverman. Went into syndication as Mark says.

I remember Saturday because my dad always had it on as he was waiting for my mom when they'd go out on Saturdays. I couldn't wait until they'd leave so I could change the channel. "Suuuhhhhhh-LUTE!"

Child abuse!?!

Some of my fondest memories are watching those shows with my grandparents.

"Hey, Grandpa, what's for dinner?" was one of my favorite bits.

As far as Saturday night syndication shows went, Hee Haw was no Out Of This World.

Or Marblehead Manor.

Or She's The Sheriff.

Small Wonder >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> all of those shows.

No way! The ability to stop time by touching your index fingers together trumps all!!! :D

It's sad that I even remember the names of these shows. I'm a dork.

Where, oh where, are you tonight?/
Why did you leave me here all alone?/
I searched the world over and thought I'd find true love/
You found another and..
(PFFFFFT)
... you were gone!
