RIP, Congresswoman Stephanie Tubbs Jones

This sounds kinda scary:

Congresswoman Stephanie Tubbs Jones was admitted to Huron Hospital in East Cleveland Tuesday tonight.
The family requested that the hospital not release any information about her condition.

The Cleveland Heights police department is to put out a news release in the morning about the incident.

WOIO Channel 19 is reporting that Tubbs Jones was behind the wheel of a car moving fast in Cleveland Heights. Police tried to pull her over but she was unconscious.

Nicole Williams, spokeswoman for the 11th District congresswoman, had no information about the incident.

If I had to venture a guess -- heart attack or stroke while driving a car on cruise control. Saw a wreck like that on I-95 a few months back: guy keeled over in his car, the wife tried to take control of the wheel but ended up clipping the jersey wall and flipping. She was okay, he was dead before the car made contact.

If I had to venture a guess -- heart attack or stroke while driving a car on cruise control. Saw a wreck like that on I-95 a few months back: guy keeled over in his car, the wife tried to take control of the wheel but ended up clipping the jersey wall and flipping. She was okay, he was dead before the car made contact.

The other alternative might be a hypoglycemic event 9low blood sugar) in a diabetic. We see that not uncommonly.

Not to thread-jack, but I'm amazed this doesn't happen more, just mathematically. I guess it could happen and people don't write about it unless it's, say, a Congressman. I also guess that when people get really bad off, they tend not to drive, but it seems like it should happen more than it does.

WOIO in Cleveland reporting that Congresswoman Tubbs Jones suffered a brain aneurysm while driving and was "basically dead" when taken to the hospital. She is on life support, which is expected to be withdrawn this afternoon.

I was unfamiliar with Congresswoman Tubbs-Jones before seeing her in her role as Clinton advocate on the various cable news programs this spring. I thought she did very well, making a positive case for her candidate without coming off as shrill as many Clinton supporters were at the time. It's sad that we have apparently lost her.

I didn't feel bad when she was on life support, and I don't feel bad now. I wish every one of our congresspeople were dead, or at a minimum vanished to the cornfield. I feel 100% of them are grifters, scam artists, charlatans and frauds. I wish they were all gone. Just my opinion. I don't expect people to agree with it. Rubes think that their congressperson is fantastic. Its always the other ones who are driving this country into the ground.

Doctor at press conference says the congresswoman is currently in critical condition. However, he also said she suffered an aneurysm in an inaccessible part of her brain, and she has very limited brain function.
