Underrated? Wasn't that show No. 1 in the ratings for a while? Actually thought it was overrated.

Peaked at ninth, only made 66 episodes over five seasons. The chemistry between Bruce Willis and Cybill Shepherd was great but fleeting. He wanted to be a movie star so that was a big part of the show's demise. She had newborn twins near the show's end too.

Overall, I thought it was underrated. Had some quirkiness that might have been a little before its time, and it didn't do much in syndication so it seems more ancient than it is.

And a great theme song!

Quirkiness is correct. And it had quirkiness about a decade before every other network hour was trying to insert quirkiness. It was unique for its time. The next show to follow its style, "Civil Wars," had Mariel Hemingway as the female lead.

Al Jarreau was classy. RIP.
