In 8/8 NYT.

Jesus. Isiah can do one thing, and we're all supposed to ignore his
multiple, pathetic shortcomings.

Hitler liked children, too.

Get off it, Bill. You're WAY out of line.

I read that this morning with my jaw on the ground. These wee the two graphs that got me:

Thomas did not wreck the Knicks. He was one of many Knicks executives who put a log on the fire, but he did not ignite it. Dolan did. On Friday, he added some kerosene.

Sure, he gave bad contracts. But but bad contracts are a Knicks tradition. On the plus side, Thomas drafted David Lee.

How cuckold is Donnie Walsh?

He's forced to thank Isiah for his "help" in signing Stoudemire. Isiah flies off to Cleveland to try to recruit LeBron. Isiah meets with Dolan for hours without his knowledge. And now Isiah goes behind his back to get a"job" without his input and against his wishes and then puts his name on the press release.

Knicks president Donnie Walsh is livid that Isiah Thomas is back in the organization and feels his standing with the franchise could be compromised by owner James Dolan's decision to rehire Thomas, The Post has learned.

According to a Knicks source, Walsh told Thomas in a face-to-face meeting two weeks ago he did not want him working for the organization. Dolan and Thomas had agreed that Thomas could fill the team's general manager vacancy if Walsh was OK with it.

When Walsh told Thomas he objected, Thomas went back to Dolan, who still has a love affair with the Hall of Famer and seemingly is on a mission to rehab Thomas' image.

Without Walsh's knowledge, Dolan and Thomas hatched a scheme in which Thomas could become a part-time consultant while remaining the coach at Florida International. (The NBA is reviewing whether the arrangement violates NBA rules on scouting procedures.)

Walsh, who had thought the Isiah issue was dead, was not debriefed until after the hiring was agreed upon, and he reluctantly put his name on a joint statement with Dolan. It was only recently that Walsh found out Thomas had been in Dolan's ear for months, offering free advice

Not only should the guy resign to retain any shred of dignity he may still have, but he should resign because Dolan & Isiah deserve each other.

Isiah's after his job. He should let him have it.

The ship is going down, let Isiah captain it if he wants to.

The ship went down years ago. Clearly, the Knicks are trying to become a laughingstock in Atlantis too.

The ship be sinking.

Basketball aside how do you defend an an executive that was found guilty of sexual harassment.

Not something you would usually find in the NYT.

That's easy. Rhoden thinks Zeke is being wronged by "The Man" and Jim Dolan, feeling "white guilt" wants to make amends.

Pathetic defense of Zeke by Rhoden. I don't know what else to say.

"Thomas is committed to helping young players, particularly young African-American players, find their way through the maze. "

Seems like it's the white players having trouble with the NBA maze.

So did Starbury.

Unreal.

And he was from a two parent household

Zeke wasn't the cause of the Knicks' woes. This franchise had been ****ing itself long before he came aboard.

Any owner dumb enough to hire back a guy who was responsible for a massive sexual assault suit against his club should have his franchise revoked by the league.

Maybe that's true. Which is why it'd be ludicrous to rehire Scott Layden. And it's ridiculous to rehire Isiah in any role.

While it certainly is true that the Knicks franchise was ****ed up from stem to stern well before Isiah arrived, he didn't "add another log to the fire," he backed up a tanker truck full of high-octane jet fuel and turned on the fire hose.

And of course special mention must be made of his dumbest move, hiring Larry Brown, who in an attempt to prove Isiah and Dolan were idiots (like any additional evidence of this was necessary) and in his usual spiteful hissy-fit manner when the front office does not instantly accede to all his trade demands (to totally revamp a roster he had already OK'd), basically tanked an entire season. They would have been ****ing horrible if everybody was trying to win; understandably they were worse than horrible when the head coach was actively tanking.

But once again, who hired Larry Brown? Isiah Thomas.

Rhoden's column defines imbecility.

Ya gotta love those Knicks.

I'm shocked you didn't find a way to blame Larry Brown for the BP oil spill. :D

The trades that Zeke made for Stephon Marbury and Eddy Curry set the Knicks back 10 years.

One day I hope to find out what Larry Brown did to Starman. Good god, does he ever hate that guy. Irrational, over the top, blinding hate any time any story drifts anywhere close to Brown's fingerprints.

Pretty easy to see what's happening here.

Stern steered Walsh to the Knicks, for obvious reasons. Dip**** Jimmy agreed to it, either b/c he'd already deluded himself into thinking the Knicks would land a couple huge free agents in 2010 or b/c someone told him Walsh's presence could help that happen. That didn't happen (sorry, Stoudemire doesn't count). Now Dip**** Jimmy figures, well, we tried it your way, now we'll go back to doing it my way. Come back Isiah.

Talk about a couple assholes who deserve one another.

This is more total idicoy by Dolan the idiot:
