Morning all ... putting out a request for anyone who has extensively covered the NAIA, and may have sources within the organization ... have a local college that is apparently in hot water with the NAIA (found the info by digging deep on the NAIAs website) but the college president is adamant that there's no problems and the NAIA itself will neither confirm or deny it ...

Has the item been deleted from the Website since you found it? You are going to have to get this confirmed from somebody. Only other option would be to write that this item exists on an NAIA Website but all parties refuse to acknowledge its existence and force them to basically comment.

Nope still there ... as well as the school in question also listed under those currently on probation ...

Make sure you take a screenshot of the page, or print it out, or archive it or something, just in case they do delete it.

On another note, the NAIA is basically the Wild West. How bad do you have to run afoul of the rules to get in trouble with them?

Actually did that and ran it as main art with the story ... school president kept denying it, even as I was showing him the website page ...

Up next, open records request ... :)

Probably a small chance of that school being a public school. Unless there are more public NAIA colleges than I’m realizing.

I was not aware that it was possible to get in trouble with the NAIA.

Actually, it IS a public school ... but it, and really the entire government, has a bad track record with the open records law here (which actually treats violations of the law as a criminal charge) ...
