Oh, Lord, will this not go well.

I just love the fact that Josh Brolin will be playing Bush. I am assuming that neither of the Olson Twins were available.

He has to have the scene where drunken Junior calls Poppy out.

What could go wrong? Wasn't JFK lauded for its accuracy and reluctance to rely on conspiracy theories?

This strikes me as a horrible, horrible idea. 70% of the people in the country can't wait for W. to go away, so they don't want to see a movie about him. And the 30% of the people in the country who think W. is the greatest living American are gonna see this as a liberal attack on him.
Even if Oliver Stone makes a pitch perfect movie, no one will want to see it.

He interrupts a meeting with Prince Bandar, in which he informs the Saudi ambassador about plans to invade Iraq, so that he can catch the rest of the 2002 Miami Dolphins-Baltimore Ravens playoff game. Bush is later shown choking on a pretzel and passing out during the second quarter.

And the Dolphins have been channeling Dubya ever since....

I'd say 30% is grossly overstating the number that still hold that opinion. I'm hard pressed to find even one these days, even the arch right wingers I know have all turned against him.

Say what you will about Stone's politics, he's a great film maker. I'm looking forward to it. Nixon is one of those movies that if I start watching for 5 minutes, forget it. I'm watching the whole damn 3-hour movie. I can't pull away.

Is he always 100 percent accurate? No. But in terms of movie making he's unique and I've watched everyone of his films.

I hear Dana Carvey will play George I. OK, not really.

Josh Brolin will work hard to get cross-eyed for the filming.
