Oklahoma teacher caught waiting for student in candle-lit room. Something I don't think we've seen in these before.

Married chemistry teacher, 22, accused of raping student

According to this, she graduated from college in May and worked at a pharmacy for a couple of months before being hired as a high school teacher.

“I’m no longer surprised by the people who commit these crimes, because predators come from all walks of life,” said West.

This has been an epidemic for decades, and finally, the first quote of someone who isn't surprised.

I know this is an odd thought. ... I wouldn't do it, because I wouldn't want to spend several hours getting smacked around with a telephone book. But when they say, "Here, hold this under your chin and look at the camera," I wonder why we never run into one of these women who hasn't made them hold the board under her chin for her because she refused. I know it's a VERY weird thought, but she looks way too cooperative to me with the way she is holding the thing up.

Is the first picture taken when/where she was arrested? Hair looks the same and it looks like she may be cuffed.

On a side note I never understood why Americans wear shoes indoors.

I think so. The article mentioned what she was wearing when arrested.
Its like the cops said, "you are under arrest. Stand here and let me take this picture"

Yukon high school in Canadian County? I was really hoping that this was a Canadian teacher.

The TV News report said she copped right away when they came in to arrest her. In my head, I try to imagine how it unfolded. She's on the floor with candles lit, gets the text message, "I am here," sends back, "Come on in, door's open." And that sheriff with the goatee and the cowboy hat comes through the door. What is she thinking at that moment?

Then, when they say she admitted to everything. ... Is it, "I confess!!!"?

Or is it a George Costanza, "Was that wrong? Should I not have done that? I tell ya, I gotta plead ignorance on this thing, because if anyone had said anything to me at all that that sort of thing was frowned upon. ..."
