Picrights/Higbee and Associates

Wondering if anybody has had any dealings with these folks. I have received repeated communications from them, alleging that I was guilty of copyright infringement for using AP photos on work samples that were on my website, and asking for exorbitant amounts of cash. I contacted some folks I knew at AP, and they're unfamiliar with Picrights or the Higbee folks. They've continued to hassle me -- it's been over a year now -- and I refuse to engage. So, again, wondering if others have had dealings with them, and what the best approach is.
