Philly papers' sports desks to combine?

Heard this rumor that an email went out to employees saying that the plan is to have the sports desks at the Daily News and the Inquirer "work together to better compete with outsiders as opposed to each other":

This is on the heels of the co-location of the two staffs a few months ago.

Les & Jeff are fine.

They're two exceptional journalists and good guys, and something happened on a very competitive beat that they both regret. They've both moved on and I don't think they'd mind me saying they get along fine.
