Pepsi's new logo

The 1971 logo is wrong, that isn't the typeface they used back then.
Before the 1987 change, they updated the 1971 logo with a new font.
God, how pathetic am I that I actually know that?

My dad worked for Pepsi for 35 years, I worked in the Cleveland-area plant in the lab in 1992.

The new logo pisses all over our legacy!

The phallic bottle is creepy. The rest of it's not so bad.

On Tap was good ****, better than Mug, Pepsi's current brand.

We used to have a big-ass Pepsi Light can-shaped cooler back in the day.

All Slice brands suck, Pepsi never will get lemon-lime right (they never should have dumped Teem). But of the non-lemon-lime Slice off-shoots, apple was the absolute worst. Dr Slice (no period!) was Pepsi's answer for Pepsi warehouses that didn't distribute Dr Pepper.

Their first foray into cherry-flavored cola was Cherry Cola Slice, which wasn't too bad. Not sure why they went that route, but back in the 80's, Coke and Pepsi guarded the namesake beverage jealously -- that's why you'd have Tab, because for a long time, they didn't want to take away from Coke with a "Diet Coke" until they got it right. Maybe that's why they waited to unveil a Wild Cherry Pepsi. Who the hell knows.

Oh man do I remember Pepsi Light. My parents drank that swill all the time.

And Slice! I tried to like Slice, I really did. But it was really abject fail. Not nearly as horrendous as apple slice. Who's ****ing bright idea was that? (I'll feel really bad if it was your dad's!)
