38K at a HS football game? Ohio is as rabid as any HS football state, but I don't know of any games that get that many fans. Very few are even played in stadiums that hold that many.

The big schools in Arkansas (mostly in NW Arkansas, but also a couple like North Little Rock and Bryant in central Arkansas) can hold their own against anyone in the nation. It drops off rather quickly after that, however.

Benton and Bryant are about as Wonder Bread as you can get, however. Chalk it up to a few wannabee punks wanting to skart sumpin.

The Arkansas Razorbacks drew 36K for their Little Rock game against Florida A&M in the same stadium last year.

It's been amazing (and predictable and sad) to watch people inject racism into what happened at the Salt Bowl.

I've seen people talking about how they are "always scared" to attend games in Little Rock because of "those people." Saline County is 98 percent white folks! They're scared of white folks who commute 45 minutes into Little Rock from their exurban towns?

Isn't it mostly that the visiting team bench is very close to the stands, like Florida?

I imagine traffic getting stuck. War Memorial is one of the worst places to drive around. No easy way out. No easy parking.
