Asked about the 2003 drug test on Thursday in Boston, Ortiz shrugged. “I’m not talking about that anymore,” he said. “I have no comment.”

Oh sweet Christ. If that's true, the Schadenfraude (sp?) from clueless Yankees fans lacking a clue as well as a sense of irony will be off the charts.

Can we just have the whole list.

Also, hope this put to rest the thought that the Mitchell Report was flawed because of Mitchell's role with the Red Sox.

Michael Kay just messed his shorts and he doesn't know why.

Remember when Papi said players caught using steroids, MLB ought to "ban 'em for the whole year"? The Red Sox have their very own Palmeiro.

The information about Ramirez and Ortiz emerged through interviews with multiple lawyers and others connected to the pending litigation. The lawyers spoke anonymously because the testing information is under seal by a court order. The lawyers did not identify which drugs were detected.

I will never understand how 'multiple lawyers' are willing to risk possible disbarment and other repercussions for the thrill of leaking sealed information.

Funny that it would be the NYT considering they own 17 percent of the Red Sox.

I just hope they get caught. What they're doing is far, far more egregious (as was the raid and confiscation of the test results) than anything the players may have done prior to 2003.

"I got the 100 names. I got the 100 names. And you can't afford it because you are on the Interneeeeeeeet!"

"Here. [throws the change out the window] Get yo father a nutty buddy, get yo sister a ice cream sammich, get your brother the list of names on the PED list....."

Serious question...would ESPN have been so quick to run the report if the NY Post had it first?

Absolutely. The faster they report it, the faster they can make it their own.
