Who would've thought sleeping with your kid's nanny - who's four decades younger than you - might lead to trouble?

I'm not surprised when these types of story come out any more, but it's still disappointing.

It’s not hard to know what’s right and what’s wrong. Nanny? Never. Come on man! I don’t care if she “wanted it”, that’s simply wrong. Look elsewhere.

I saw him speak a year or two ago and quite honestly, I don’t get the fuss. He’s charismatic, admittedly.

I came across this on FB this morning. I follow an SF writer named Keith DeCandido, and this is what he wrote above a link to the Vulture post linked above:

"Lila Shapiro has written a detailed article spelling out exactly what a spectacular piece of human garbage Neil Gaiman is. As someone who used to consider Neil, if not a friend, at least a treasured acquaintance, this is devastating and disheartening and disgusting.

I'm putting a link in the comments to the article that bypasses the paywall. PLEASE BE WARNED that the article is INCREDIBLY graphic in its description of what has gone on in Neil's life and circle over the past several decades. I only could get about a third of the way through it before alt-tabbing away in disgust and unable to read further.

Seriously: MAJOR CONTENT WARNING. There's triggery **** all over this piece. Rape, sexual assault, manipulation, you name it."

Damn.

I thought wicked meant that he didn't get why people are impressed by Gaiman, but I could be wrong.

Yes, thanks.

He seems like he’s a smart guy. Maybe I’m just a simpleton. The stuff of his I’ve read flies over my head. He seems to take himself way too seriously.

He does seem like he can be quite full of himself. I've only heard bits and pieces of interviews. I mostly know him through his writing and some cameos. He wrote one of my favorite quotes about reading literature, but now I feel like I may have to stop quoting him.

Used to be one of my favorite authors, back to early Sandman. I devoured "American Gods" and "Anansi Boys." Used to listen to "Norse Mythology" when I would be going to bed because his voice was soothing.

**** him. I hope he ends up in prison, though it seems unlikely unless his ex-wife testifies against him. I hope his victims can get some kind of justice eventually.
