We are looking for a NBA Associate Editor to join our Editorial team. This person will manage a group of NBA analysts and veteran reporters with varying level of experience. Position may be remote. Salary is commensurate with experience. Please submit a resume and three examples of stories that represent your best work as an editor (please submit URLs in a cover letter).

Responsibilities:
  • Help writers report, write and compose features, topical columns, analytical lists and more.
  • Co-lead daily idea-generation conversations, particularly at night. Second-in-command around breaking news.
  • Organize weekly and monthly content plans.
  • Assist in real-time communication with other Bleacher Report content arms.
  • Manage NBA live event coverage. Organize assignments for live bloggers and on-site reporters.
  • Familiarity with Bleacher Report's brand and voice is a plus.
  • Position may require occasional editorial work for other sport-by-sport desks.
Required Knowledge / Skills:
  • 5 years professional writing/editing experience.
  • 3-5 years experience holding writers accountable to AP style.
  • 2-3 years experience working with reporters on deadline.
  • Advanced understanding of NBA transaction market and current events.

BR gets **** from people, but this is probably a good, safe job for most.
 
Sounds difficult to oversee that many people over numerous platforms and never having any face-to-face communication, though beauty of the job is never having to go into the office, if I'm correct.
