More proof of the ignorance of TV hacks: Titans coach rips TV station

You actually might be able to throw the magic "malice" word on this.

I would have to see the video, but this has a chance to be pretty bad.

Fisher said the Titans are "looking into the possibility that there might be a connection" between WTVF-5 reporter Nick Beres and Daniel Warlick, the attorney representing Givens in the $25 million lawsuit.

Speaking of unprofessional behavior...that's a pretty ridiculous claim to throw out unsupported.

Yeah, Tennessean.com should have left that alone. Not like it's illegal for an attorney to be a source.

Man, I hate these threads.

"Those damn TV hacks! They get it first . . . but we print jockeys get it RIGHT!!!!!!!!"

Yes, just dismiss all TV journalists out of hand, why don't we? "Without US, the godly print jockeys, they would have no news to report!"

Utter, utter bullcrap.

How about: This particular TV news outlet is finding itself under fire.

But that would require some rational thought. Much easier to just condemn all of them.

Only the thread starter and one poster piled on TV "hacks."

Also in fairness, these days, TV stations are typically the last to report anything.

It usually goes like this
First -- Newspaper Web site.
20 minutes later -- Talk radio
10:25 p.m. -- TV

I know morons both in TV and print, so I'm always a bit hesitant to throw the TV guys and gals under the bus.

That being said, I do get a chuckle when the TV folks embarrass themselves.

Chill, Piotr

I think it's important for everyone to have someone in their lives who they can mock without giving the matter any serious thought. For some people, it's TV reporters, for me it's the Pittsburgh Pirates. It's healthy.

Fisher is one of the good guys too. If you ranked the NFL coaches 1-32 from best to deal with to worst, I'd be surprised if anyone had him outside of the top five. I've probably dealt with 30 of the 32 head coaches in the NFL right now (everybody but McDaniels and Morris) and I'd rank him first.

Fisher is pretty reasonable and accessible, a guy's guy. For him to blow his stack like this is pretty much out of character and proof in itself that this TV station mucked this up pretty good.
