Golly gee, the Giants have given the NYC region a reason to cheer! Finally, life is worth living. Thanks Big Blue!

I read him growing up and his stuff was really good. For the last X number of years, since he's become a multi-platform media superstar, his columns are mailed in.

Nice to know that the feeling's back in that big room we call the palace which is Gotham.

That's why I don't read the Post or the Daily News.

Start spreadin' the news: In Tom Coughlin's house there are many mansions.

Seven posts in and no Boom?

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, IS HE OK?

I think he's mourning the death of Mel Renfro.

It's been a ****ty couple of days for people with the surname Renfro.

"Mike Lupica, gag reflex. Gag reflex, Mike Lupica."

Is there really a need to introduce two who know each other so well?

I'm pretty sure the shock of hearing about Brad is what did Mel in.

Are you all saying that Boomski is either Mel Renfro or Brad Renfro? Aren't we treading into outing territory here?

Nope. HB, it's got nothing to do with Boom. In fact, any time Boom is absent is a plus for this board.

Careful. You're treading precariously close to a "witty" "spitted" reference. ::)

That piece of crap read like Lupica was the one gagging on something.

Makes me want to root for the Packers Sunday.

made it through the first few graphs before gagging. my ol' buddy lupey lives on a planet other than nyc. has ever since he moved to connecticut. when's the last time he captured the hearts of real people?

n.y. has a team to root for. finally? sorry, charley, but n.y. is divided by those who are giants fans and jets fans, yankees and mets fans. in baseball and football, connecticut boy, there's no such thing as a united nyc. just the way it is.

barf.

In Loopy's world . . . there are Giants fans . . .

And there's everyone else.

(i. e. "Not our kind, dear . . . move along . . . "

Lupica has been a whipping boy since the creation of this site. You'd think we'd have moved on to someone different (mitch albom doesnt count) by now.

Carry on.

Well, maybe, the poor Jets fan, having nothing to root for, has jumped about the Big Blue Bandwagon. It's a love-in, New York's football Woodstock.
