When the Storm Prediction Center puts you in a "high risk" zone, you pretty much better get right with your maker.

If I wasn't a sports writer, I'd work for the National Weather Service. Those guys are beasts.

About to?
We haven't had ****ing break since Thanksgiving. Five months of non-stop heavy snowfalls and now a downpour every other damn day.
Mother Nature strapped one on in mid-November and she's been ripping us a new one ever since.

That's far and away my most graphic SJ post ever. We need a break, soon.

Quit your whining. ;)

Where else can you see, in the same week, a lake drain into a friggin river and take a few houses with it, rivers wash out or close stretches of highway in several states, and see rivers form across the street from your house?

The last visual is mine. I'm looking out my office window, into the green space behind the neighbors' homes. There is so much water back there it looks like a lake but the south-north flow is so strong it's more river. :o

Oh, and did I add we're at about 12 inches of rain in the last six-plus days?
