Microsoft Word 2003 help...

So last night I go to work on a game story, open a new document, begin typing, and nothing happens. Then I notice something at the bottom about the document being locked, and changes not being allowed to be made.

If I locked something, I damn sure didn't do it on purpose. And I tried following the steps in the Word help thing, to no avail. So if any of you knows more about this than I do (and I'm betting many of you do), a little help would be appreciated.

Am assuming that it's a read-only doc... go into properties and uncheck read-only. I think.
Haven't used 2003 in a while...
