Canadian authorities are announcing they've foiled a "major terror plot".

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-22258191

Presser is currently being aired on CNN. They're introducing all the bigwigs and they're doing it in english and french so it may take awhile before they get to the actual news.

RCMP announces that two suspects are in custody and were attempting to carry out an Al Qaeda-supported attack against a passenger train.

OK, so just want to be clear on this: Terror plots against the U.S., put the world on high alert. Terror plots against Canada, let's crack jokes.

Just wanted to make sure we were clear on it.

Go **** yourselves.

I don't think it's a joke. I'm also surprised it's not getting more attention down here since the plot allegedly involved a hit on a train route between Canada and NYC.

Anderson Cooper wasn't covering it so it didn't really happen

Gord Martineau was covering it from the safety of Yonge-Dundas Square.

The joke up here used to be there would be no terrorism in Canada because terrorists wouldn't **** in their own backyard. So much for that....

Have they determined where these guys are from? The report yesterday was that they weren't Canadian citizens.

UAE and Yemen is what I thought I heard on my drive this morning. Apparently one of them was a scientist working on hs PHD north of Montreal.

He had raised suspicions when he told another student that as a Muslim he was a fool to pay Canadian taxes.

Well, it gave Fox News a chance to patronize us.

"In English and French, because that's how they roll"

Smarmy, patronizing and clueless. Three for a dollar. Whoops, loonie.

Faux Fascist Noise, grading a terrorism news conference on its entertainment glitz value as opposed to its information content.

Too bad the RCMP didn't have a few bouncing-boobed anchorcpunts to put in front of the camera to bring it up to the FFN standards.
