Lou Piniella and his drinkin' buddy/coach Matt Sinatro decided to drive to Cincy this morning and ended up in East Liverpool, Ohio. I hope they took in the Lou Holtz museum while they were there. In today's micro-managed, charter flight world, it's refreshing to see a story like this.

The directions were good. The story said they missed turning onto I-75 and apparently kept going east.

I think I'm going to have to call bull**** on this. They left at 8 a.m. (9 a.m. in Cinci) and arrive at 5 p.m. That's eight hours in a car. That's how long it takes for me to go from central Illinois to Wheeling.

Unless they were going 100 miles an hour, there's no way they get all the way to East Liverpool and then double back to Cinci by the backroads in that amount of time.

I couldn't understand driving across northern Indiana/Ohio, either. But I laughed my head off when I saw they were in PA before they realized their error.
