Longtime minor league skipper gets the call for years he's given others:

It's easy to say these kind of stories are like nursing home scandals, it's always there if you want it, a cliche of the business. This one is penned with dignity and restraint, and catches the midwestern mien of people and places. Well done.

Fun read. Thanks for posting.

When did Jones start writing for ESPN?

Chris Jones. Does he still post here?

If he's now with ESPN, doubtful as they put a ban on writers posting on
social media sites.

That explains a couple of the departures from here in the last year or so... I knew it was frowned upon, I didn't know it was banned. I definitely did not know it had been banned for five years.

The ESPN rule has caused the board to lose several of its most respected members/posters. The place just isn't the same without them: jgmacg, Fenian, Double Down, typefitter, sxy.

Etcetera.

Wow, I never heard that. So, why am I following so many ESPN folks on Twitter?

And does that apply to Facebook? ESPN doesn't allow its employees to post pictures of their kids' birthday party?
