This could be cool as hell. I'm pumped. They're doing a great job of building buzz -- the thing doesn't even officially have a title yet. Looks like "Blair Witch" meets "Godzilla" meets the monster from "Lost."

My initial feeling is that if this movie was going to be any good it wouldn't be released in January...

That's exactly the feeling I had ... BUT it's just now getting huge buzz. This turn out to be one of those they can't afford not to release for the holidays.

Had same though as Mizzou, if this thing was so good they would release it at Thanksgiving.

Unless they're planning on dropping it right around the "Lost" season premiere and taking over the Lost-niks' lives for a few days. Nah, because J.J. has never done that before.

Please let it be better than Blair Witch Project.
Two hours of my life that I will never get back.

Nice marketing campaign, but it simply has to be good to make back the nut.

If you have a great action flick, no way do you bypass the holidays...

Prediction: This movie will be laughably bad...

If the rumors of something along the lines of a $30 million budget are true, it doesn't matter if it's 90 minutes of dead air. They'll still make their money back on opening night off the trailer alone.

Wow, really? I totally disagree ... and I normally respect your opinion on movies/movie predictions.

The preview looks fantastic, but January is a dumping period for studios to release their garbage films and hope they can squeeze some money out of them before sending them to video... The best you can usually hope for in January is a smaller film that is below the radar to do well like Hostel, which I think was a January release, that made a lot of money.
