Jim Bowden going down?

Sports Journalists Forum – Media, Newsroom & Reporting Talk

I will be pissed if Bowden hangs on to his job and Rijo becomes the scapegoat. The Lerners, as gullible as they are, loves Bowden. Unless, he has some incriminating photos of all of them in his backpocket.

This bum has been trouble forever.

Not according to this:

I do question whether that's their position, though. Seems it would be easy, once you know, you buy a team, to get rid of people, you know, you don't want.

Considering the sandals, I'd think they'd decided to hire Moddy.

Too much hair.
But I'm guessing I could field a team that could lose 102 games just as well as the current GM.

Bowden is a slimy son of a *****, but don't underestimate his survival skills. He stands for nothing and has no integrity, so he won't have any problem doing a total 180 on any issue that threatens his security.

They should be pissed that he just wasted $20 million on Adam Dunn.

FireJimBowden says it is going down today! LaCava from the Jays is probable replacement.

He has resigned:

Statement is a load of dung. Blaming the media?

Good riddance.

Wonder who twisted his arm? Stan? Lerner? No way he stepped down on his own.

I'm sure the Lerners gave him a nice parting gift.
It will go toward the legal fund when the feds indite him and if he did skim signing bonuses, I'm sure the IRS will have a few gifts too.
I'm sure the coaches he canned last year are laughing their asses off.

Never thought I'd say this, but the Nationals are the worst-run MLB team in the Beltway.

Moddy, today is an amnesty day, so you can jump over to the O's and we won't hold it against you.

George W Bush is looking for a job and he has baseball experience. He'd be a great GM for the Nats, instead of weekend series against the Mets, he'd just hire Haliburton to invade New York
