Not to go Phil Mushnick but has anyone watched that stupid segment of Monday Night Countdown where Tom Jackson shows top 5 hits of weekend and mainly Michael shouts "jacked off"

ESPN does some stupid stuff but this takes the kit. I love a good hit but not in manner which ESPN shows it.

Re: Jacked Off

I saw that last week.. .Was one of the most juveline assinine things I have ever seen. I can see it from the pipemaker, but not Steve Young....

Re: Jacked Off

And Michael Irvin is cracked out. With the pregame horror show in the background, I was writing a story and laughed trying to understand what the **** Irvin was saying. He amplifies his voice to psychotic heights and starts rambling like a jibbering madman.

or the usually classy and dignified Tom Jackson.

It should be fun the week a WR get jacked off and is carried off on stretcher. If hit is good it would be disingenious not to show. I wonder when Michael Irvin got jacked off in Philly if he thought it was funny.

I think it's "jacked UP."

I'm sure there is a highlight film of NFL players getting jacked off, but I don't want to see it.

Re: Jacked Off

I hate Jacked Off. Mentioned it in the Kornheiser thread, ya bunch of db'ers!

Re: Jacked Off

I think the "Corso loves ****" signs behind the College Gameday set are a little more juvenile, but that's just one bro's opinion.

Re: Jacked Off

What's the over on the next time ****head Irvin gets in more legal trouble:

I've got 5/16/07

Re: Jacked Off

Of all the petulent whiney things to complain about, this must really take the cake. The announcing crew is ****. The games are just not going to be that entertaining. The game starts too late on the East Coast for any reasonable person to watch the entire thing. But, of course, a stupid segment showing 5-plays during halftime is what grabs such ire.

I could give a **** less about this segment. The mere fact that Irvin is still on that show demonstrates that there are bigger problems.

Re: Jacked Off

I thought this was a thread about Carl Monday, Cleveland's investigative reporter.

Re: Jacked Off

That jacked up nonsense melts my brain. However, if you pay attention to Chicago sports at all you also know that one Dusty Baker loves to use that phrase.

Something to the effect of 'I had to bring Aramis in and jack him up a little bit. It's not something I like to do dude.'

Also as annoying as hell. Anyways, carry on.

That ship sailed, or sold out, a long time ago my friend.

Re: Jacked Off

How could anyone possibly misinterpret it for Jacked "Off"?

It's not a new segment, ESPN did it on Monday Night Countdown the last few years before it had the MNF game. They've gotten too cartoonish with the freeze-framing and the yelling this year, but I had no problem with the original form. I mean, there are some pretty decent hits there. It's football. And I'm pretty darn sure they don't show hits where someone was injured.

True, the hits and plays are decent, but the yelling serves as the "oh ****" for any "attaboys"...
