Neal Page was just trying to get back to his wife and kids in Chicago after a business meeting in New York, tripped over a trunk on the sidewalk, had his taxi stolen and the rest is history.

When I was a young teen, occasionally my parents would leave me to babysit my younger brother and rent us a movie while they went out. Guess what scene Ma and Pa Baptist came home to one night? I had to sell it hard to be able to see the end of the movie.

Watched planes, trains and automobiles two nights ago with my in-laws, who hadn’t seen it. They about died laughing.

For me, this is the best scene.

FYI, they did a 4K rerelease for the 35th anniversary, which includes 75 minutes of deleted scenes. There’s supposedly a three-hour original cut of this that’s never seen the light of day.
