20 years ago today, we started shooting CLERKS.
20 years later, with no plan or provocation, I jumped out of bed at 4:20 this morning and started writing CLERKS III.
It's been like hanging out with old friends.
And after 2 hours of tapping the keys and giggling, I have come to a conclusion...
CLERKS III will be the best film I'll ever make.

The 4:20 makes me think it's a ruse or an early April Fools joke. I sure hope it is, anyway.

If he has a masterpiece, Dogma was it. The others are variations on the same BS, over and over again.

It's a reality show about comic book freaks.
Let's lower our expectations and not look for Masterpiece Theater.
I don't love being around Kev's buddies, but at least these guys are real.

Zach and Miri Make A Porno is underrated in its shiftiness. It is truly awful. Not a laugh in the whole film. I remember walking out of the theatre thinking "I really think I could have written a better screenplay than that."
