Personally I give Junod, 56, credit for blowing right through the half-your-age-plus-7 rule that has always been the cutoff point for midlife crisis nookie.

In our occasional ranking of the ages, we found that this year's most alluring is not what you'd expect. It's not 27 (honored in 1999) or 39 (2008) or 86 (1937 and 1983).

Reading Junod's article, I kept thinking about what he looks like. I had a vague picture in my mind, and it wasn't good. After reading the article, I Google-Imaged.

Let's put it this way. Most of my friends and I are right at or in the range of 42.

He's pretty much the antithesis of who we'd want to sleep with.

The magazine started in 1932, so I don't think it's a joke. I don't get what all the fuss is about either, especially if they have been doing this sort of thing for 80-plus years.
