I hope NBC is serious about hiring Jimmy Fallon to replace Conan O'Brien (who takes over Leno's spot).

Fallon would be a great at late night talk and he was always one of my favs on SNL.

What does everyone else think?

I thought you were talking about Kimmell. I think he's funnier than Leno (who isn't...) and is consistently better than Letterman, who seems to be phoning it in a bit...

Jon Stewart is still the king...

Why ABC hasn't put Craig Kilborn or Jon Stewart on is beyond me.

You knew Kilborn couldn't exist being on after Letterman, just like whoever replaces Conan will fail, and just like Ferguson, (funny as he is) will fail.

First talk show of the night always does the best.

NBC has Fallon under contract where he agrees not to sign any other late-night deals until after 2009. Obviously the plan is to move Conan to 11:30 and put him on afterwards, but it will be interesting to see if the unfunny one actually quits The Tonight Show in 2009 as promised...

NBC will **** it up...

Kimmel's terrible.
Leno's the worst.
Letterman's good, but I just don't watch that oftne anymore.
I used to like O'Brien, but he bugs the crap out of me anymore.
Fallon would be dreadful, although probably not as bad as Carson Daly.
Ferguson's interviews can be quite good, but they're too short.
Kilborn was great on 'The Daily Show,' but his late night talk show was awful.
Stewart will leave 'The Daily Show' in two years.

I know he got off to a dreadfully slow start, but Kimmel's show is 1,000 times better than it used to be...

I read somewhere that he was the only late night guy to be improving in the ratings... I'm sure he started quite low, but that still says something...

Not even if you paid me in Beckham ****s would I watch Jimmy Fallon host anything.

David Beckham's **** just called. He's pleading that Jimmy Fallon stay perpetually unemployed.

What a horrible idea. As some comedian said, "You know life is unfair because Mitch Hedberg died at 37 and ****ing Jimmy Fallon will probably live to 105."

I think leno is much better than letterman. Leno seems to be getting away with a lot more edgy stuff while letterman is still doing jokes about prostitutes in times square. tune in, dave, it's 2007. there are no prostitutes in time square, only dumb tourists. Fallon is god awful at everything he does, in my opinion. conan is great. stewart seemed to hit his peak during the last election, but he's still entertaining.

Conan rules. He's man at the head of a creative staff that came up with the Walker: Texas Ranger lever. What an amazing bit. I just hope he is allowed to still be his naturally funny self when he takes over for Leno. The worst thing NBC can do it to try to change Conan into a Carson/Leno hybrid just to fit a certain style.
