Is anyone doing an online-only HS sports news site without a recruiting focus?

Of course they are. For the most part, these are people who were newspaper sports journalists who were let go. They wanted to continue doing the job. The only way to do it was to create their own site and survive on subscriptions. They cannot give it away.It seems like everyone is doing a paywall.
I’m trying with advertising rather than a paywall.Of course they are. For the most part, these are people who were newspaper sports journalists who were let go. They wanted to continue doing the job. Good luck. There's also Low County or low country sports. I'm not sure what their financial model is but I don't think they don't make money. I think instead of looking at these sites you need to talk to the people who started them and see how they make it viable. I mean if you have to sell your ads, how are you going to have time for actual coverage?I’m trying with advertising rather than a paywall.

That's something I'm looking at doing for my schools in the future. I freelance for a local NAIA school, doing baseball PBP.If anything can put you over the top in that endeavor, I'd say it's live game streaming. Which I understand might not be in your plans, but that's what is going to get eyeballs.
