Syracuse.com and The Post Standard are looking for a high school sports reporter. We’re looking for someone who can cover high school sports digitally by breaking news on the beat, producing slideshows and photo galleries to highlight athletes, and providing live coverage of major high school events. You’ll also be responsible for working with the high school community to gather video and other content for our various platforms. The ideal candidate:

• wants to write well-reported stories on the hundreds of kids and issues in Central New York high school sports
• will use social media as a tool to deliver content where the audience of high school athletes is and as a tool to find content for our site
• is skilled at performing on live video platforms, including Facebook Live and television
• works with speed and accuracy in a fast-paced environment
• is comfortable working a shift that includes nights and weekends and a shift that changes throughout seasons
