President Barack Obama has proclaimed May 1st to be Loyalty Day.

Originated in 1921, officially designated by Congress in 1958, and every president except Johnson and Nixon have officially issued proclamations since, even if Loyalty Day has its roots in fears commies were going to take over the U.S.
