Writing my manifesto in the woods
Merry Christmas to all you non-fundamentalist Christians out there in SJ land. Hope you don't get visits from deadlines past, present and future, but instead get what you wish for. My wish for you is health, happiness and continued virtual friendship.

Sorry I forgot the myrrh again. I guess I need to fetch everyone a beer.

Gwen and I are heading to Melbourne this morning (15 minutes from Tahoe!) to visit with Mom and Dad and my brother's family.

The entire Christmas season has been ruined for me due to the rampant commercialism that starts roughly the second the last piece of candy is handed out on Oct. 31. But I still do enjoy the day itself. I think it would hit a little differently if I had kids but that's not the path I went down in life, so here we are. Merry Christmas to all, and may your scratch offs prove to be fruitful.

Awesome thread title @maunmann.

For those who don't know.

Mornings come early with a seven-month old in the house

My wife has high blood pressure and asked me to get an aspirin from downstairs. When the kids got up, they said they heard Santa at 3:00 a.m. I'm like, you're pretty close.

Hey, my store already has Valentine's Day stuff up! And the Frito-Lay distributor built a shipper with a Super Bowl theme last week as well.

Did the gift thing last night. Putting in a day's work today and hopefully will be home for Ravens-Niners.

It must suck having a birthday on Christmas.

My daughter’s birthday is the 22nd. The worst part was she’d get so much stuff in a short period that she would forget about gifts she’d gotten.

That was when she was still young enough to want toys. As a 15-year-old, her wish list was clothing. I miss putting toys together on Christmas Eve!

Anyway, Merry Christmas to y’all. Thanks for making this place what it is - the good outweighs the bad.

I had no idea Oz was that close to Tahoe.

The more you know …
