Every year Webby tells me I have the date wrong, but Oct 9 was the first day this version of SJ was open for business, with Captain Kirk as the first member.

So happy birthday to SJ, yesterday.

When did the sportspages board get shut down? I can't remember when exactly it was, I just remember it was pretty funny to watch Rich Johnson completely overreact. I remember posting about 9/11 on one of the boards. I can't remember if it was this one or the other one.

9/11 was during the sportspages regime, I think...I sort of recall Rich posting that the server was in one of the WTC buildings, and would probably go dark at some point.

I think I remember that too. And if I remember right again, I don't think the server did go dark (or if it did, it wasn't for very long).
