1. Supposedly, there were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq (unless Bush knew there weren't and 100 percent blatatly lied, which if he did, he should be tried, convicted and jailed).

I have all these memories of Bush going to war based upon half-truths. I recall people saying his speeches were trumped-up and that he decided to turn rumors and suspicions into undeniable facts. That's what I remember. But damn. I'm not about to dig up that stuff. If you still can't distinguish the truth from hundreds of blatant lies, **** you. Wake the **** up.

CNN Senior Political Analyst Bill Schneider adds, "He is more unpopular than Richard Nixon was just before he resigned from the presidency in August 1974." President Nixon's disapproval rating in August 1974 stood at 67 percent.


The poll also indicates that support for the war in Iraq has never been lower. Thirty percent of those questioned favored the war while 68 percent opposed the conflict.

"Americans are growing more pessimistic about the war," Holland said. "In January, nearly half believed that things were going well for the U.S. in Iraq; now that figure has dropped to 39 percent."

And what's McCain running on? His unending support of the war? OK.

A CNN/Opinion Research Corporation survey released Thursday indicates that 71 percent of the American public disapprove of how Bush his handling his job as president.

It's almost like Bush got bored playing SimCity after a while and decided to hit all the disaster buttons and do everything the wrong way just to see how bad he could screw things up.

Actually, that's pretty much the best argument against it right there.

I guess I'm not sure how to come at this.

But it seems to me that I'd rather live in a society that frets and suffers and reckons the cost of every soldier's sacrifice than live in one that turns a blind eye to cause or consequence, or counts unfeeling those young lives as nothing but a line item against the cost of doing business.

Iraq was the wrong war in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Let me echo the others here. I can't see how we're making different arguments.
I've always said your friends should never have been there in the first place. I'm sorry for your loss. I'm sorry the president didn't consider that when he took us there for no apparent reason.
