A brief one, though.

The voiceovers on that are hysterical.

"Brad, breaking down, desperate to save the Oakland A's."

You've got to love ET teasing a movie trailer that itself is a tease of the film.
I honestly think that show spends more time teasing stuff that's coming up "later" or "today" than they actually spend on any one of their "stories."

The part where Scott Hatteberg takes Mariano Rivera deep with two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning to win Game 7 of the World Series was awesome.

The scene in the 2003 playoffs when the A's forget how to run the bases and blow Game Three against the Red Sox will be good, too.

I see it's scheduled for release this fall. Probably not going to be a whole lot of marketing synergy with an A's stretch drive.

The scene where sabermetricians cheer as Beane picks up an undervalued asset is particularly thrilling

When the book was optioned, i wondered how they could make a movie out of it.
Apparently they can't.

The Queen and I saw Green Lantern. Moneyball was one of the 239 previews they showed. She says to me, "So this team has won a bunch of championships?" Uh, no.

I still want to see the movie.

That's great.

Though, knowing Hollywood, we shouldn't assume the movie doesn't have them winning multiple championships.

Looking forward to the sequel where the rest of the league figures out the market inefficiency, the players who were already in the system when he took over are no longer in their primes, and he gets a free pass for years and years despite losing seasons.
