True, although the lawyer did say he doesn't believe the guards intentionally "talked" him into the chair.

What he said.
A rusty hacksaw blade, slowly through the neck, is too good for this guy.

I'm all for executing him.

I was just presenting what the story said about the guards.

Don't get me wrong Hank. I just didn't want people coming on here saying the guards were trying to talk him into the chair option as opposed to the needle.

Don't you think that it would actually be worse punishment for this guy to have to spend the rest of his life rotting away in prison, with absolutely no chance whatsoever to get parole? Isn't executing him kind of putting him out of his deserved misery?

Just some food for thought....

This has to be a record span on this board without some yahoo talking about how the chair is cruel punishment for a human being.

That is actually my prefered sentence in all murder cases. 3 squares, 60 minutes out of the box per day, and monthly physical/mental checkups. An AM radio and all old copies of Boys Life, Better Homes and Gardens, Luxury Living and Tiger Beat magazines they can read.

In some ways I agree with you.

I would be for a much more torturous manner of death.

But, save that, keeping him jailed is less expensive and helps clear the courts.

And that is probably the real reason a lot of politicians support capital punishment.
