Besides our seven-day morning newspaper near Knoxville and Great Smoky Mountains National Park, we are also a design hub for Jones Media, Inc., designing multiple other publications in the area. We have an opening on our Editorial Production Team, which involves copy editing, page design, and publishing online content. We need someone who has a keen news judgment; understands and loves sports and their presentation, excellent grammatical and writing skills; excellent knowledge of software and processes related to preparing content for print and online production, including Adobe InDesign, InCopy and Photoshop; and basic knowledge of Web-related technologies. The preferred candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in communications or an equivalent degree. He or she will be deadline conscious, objective and able to accept constructive criticism.
