And what is this recent kick of Doyel's to blast fellow media guys. Aren't there enough incompetent coaches and druggie, wife-beating athletes to knock around without blasting a colleague for something he writes?

When Florida visits South Carolina on Nov. 14, I hope the Gators score a late touchdown to make it 55-3 -- and that they then go for two points. Because Spurrier deserves it.

First thought was Mack Brown a few years ago, leading 49-0 just before halftime, sends in the field goal unit to make it 52-0.

As for this column, interesting read. Doyle's kind of angry. And by "kind of" I mean ******* pissed off.

But the lack of writing ability, which includes editing yourself and knowing what you should be writing about? That I'll judge.

And, Greg(g) before you start in, I know I don't write for a big important site like you do. And I was never that good at writing when I did it. I may not even be that good at what I do now.

But you're not either, and at least I know my weaknesses.

I'd actually never heard of this writer before—don't go to cbs' site much. But I hated this column, then went to his bio—which sorta speaks for itself:

I really am that unbiased, I really am that athletic, and I really will beat you up. I started boxing at 36, had four amateur fights and won all four (three knockouts), and then retired because the pros I spar with kept breaking my nose. So I take it back: Maybe you can beat me up.

But only if you're a pro boxer.

I loved this.

As a kid, Sports Illustrated was my dream job. I wrote letters to the editor until they finally published one (on Hakeem Olajuwon) in the Dec. 12, 1983 issue. I was 13. Jim Brown was on the cover. It's in a frame on my wall. Even now, given my background, Sports Illustrated is probably my "dream job." But if they offered me a position tomorrow, would I take it? No. Because Sports Illustrated isn't what it was in the 1980s.

It's easy to make that comment when there's no chance SI would come calling.
