If this guy contributed to the GOP, this story would be all over the place. Just for the record, at the time of this posting, you won't find a word of this on cnn.com.

Perhaps because it is a complex story apparently broken today by the L.A. Times? You gonna argue that the Times is not part of the "drive-by" or "liberal" media?

Otherwise your argument doesn't seem to hold much water.

No, I'll give the LAT full credit but they really couldn't ignore it, since he's on the run from LA law enforcement. Apparently the story wasn't complex enough to be posted on other news web sites linking to the LA Times.
Except, that is, CNN. They're too busy with 10 stories on Larry Craig and the serious implications to national security of an idiot Senator from Idaho getting caught in the bathroom to worry about millions in contributions going to Hilary, from a fugitive from the law.

The irony of that post is spectacular. /billclinton

So, then, you are saying that the story is in fact all over the place except for CNN.

Why don't you call and point it out to them.

It's very possible they have all their staff stationed in airport restrooms across the country trying to sniff out Mitch McConnell.

Huge difference: Airport bathroom vs. White House oval office. From what we know, one-time incident vs. multiple incidents. Obscure Senator from an obscure state vs. the President of the U.S.
Now, put your blinders back on.

Fox News is indeed handling these stories better. The Hillary story is the top headline, followed by "Bush upbeat about Katrina recovery" and "Shoplifter Abandons Baby at Wal-Mart." The Craig story is a line item, sans summary.

So Hondo, here's a thought. Bust the guy instead of crying like a little ***** that Dems aren't treated the same as Republicans.

For ****'s sake.

I thought this was about Mark Rich. When does Obama break this tool out and use it?

I wanna hear more about the shoplifter abandoning the baby at Wal-Mart. It very well could be that Wal-Mart has a new return policy.

Violation of criminal law vs. serious misjudgment.

And it would seem that if the authorities in California really wanted to catch this guy, they would have done it.

Minnesota's an obscure state? Isn't that probably one of the most ignorant and insulting arguments that could have been posed? The guy's a senator, plain and simple. There's only 100 of them.

Yeah, Idaho's the obscure state.

Actually, don't give the LA Times too much credit.
The story first appeared in the Tuesday edition of the Wall Street Journal:

When was Hillary ever the POTUS?

And "on the lam" indicates he was in hiding. Apparently that's not the case at all.

AA, Craig's from Idaho, not Minnesota.
That's funny, because the LA Times quotes a state attorney in LA saying as much. Guess you didn't read the story.

What's the matter --- you get angry when you guys are called out -- and rightly so -- on this BS?

Your problem is you haven't mentioned the political BS. You framed it as an example of liberal media bias.

Why don't you start again and feign outrage at a fugitive raising money for a top Democratic presidential candidate? Bet you'll do better.

Granted, I blew it on the Minnesota-Idaho aspect. But the point still stands. What, Idaho (or Minnesota) isn't important?

Let's cut the bull****: The facts, as laid out by the Wall Street Journal the L.A. Times, are that this guy pleaded no contest to grand theft in 1991 after stealing more than $1 million from investors. He received a three-year prison sentence, and promptly cut out of L.A. Since then, he's been a visible and generous donor to the Democrats. You can certainly question the competence of law enforcement and the state attorney in L.A. for apparently not being able to find this guy, but that doesn't change the facts. And it's not a great stretch to assume that if this guy had been a Republican donor, CNN, the N.Y. Times and the WaPo would have been all over this a very long time ago.
