This is why the NFL protected Ray Rice -- not necessarily because they knew this story was next, but for fear of setting a precedent that would take down a star or an owner.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is being sued by a woman who says he sexually assaulted her.

Jana Weckerly, a former exotic dancer, filed a suit in Dallas County District Court on Monday alleging Jones assaulted her in 2009.

Aren't you the one who dismissed someone talking about a lawsuit on the everyone-should-open-a-Dunkin-Donuts thread by saying anyone can file a lawsuit?

Have I declared Jones guilty?

You should be dismissing this with an equal wave of the hand.

That complaint is some great reading. Now there's a lawyer who can write for the Web!

Putting aside the consent issue, is there anyone who doesn't believe Jerry got a BJ from one stripper while another one watched?

I assume that's how he celebrates every Cowboys win.

Because anyone can file a lawsuit.

Yes. Is that not true?

If you look at every lawsuit the same way, you're probably unique in that regard.

As a Cowboys fan, I hope to God that he's guilty and that his piece of crap son Stephen was an accessory after the fact.

The main reason the Yankees won 4 World Series between 1996 and 2000 was because Steinbrenner's suspension by MLB allowed the club's baseball people to rebuild the farm system.

Not to trivialize sexual assault, but I wouldn't be opposed to Jerry and all of his loser progeny going away for, oh, say, forever.

Worst week for the NFL since Trent Dilfer was able to call himself a Super Bowl winning quarterback.

Not a bad way to spend eight nights a year.

Tip your cap and take a long, slow turn around the bases, son. You earned it. :D

But it's a long drought from mid-December to September.

Nine if you count the preseason.

That's just worth a lap dance.

Also, the reason the Yankees were a dynasty in the late 70s is because Steinbrenner was suspended for his campaign finance conviction, allowing the baseball people to do their job.
