Damn you NBC!

Ace - I know you were trying to be funny, but my best friend works at Fox News. Not everyone there is evil.

I don't think they are. Just the owner and some of the stars.

Still no link, and now Fox has switched to the Tech news conference. Maybe it was much ado about nothing.

Now they're reporting a suspicious package was found at a Tempe, Ariz., high school. WTF is wrong with people? Do they think it's funny?

I know there is a thread about NBC and showing the videos, and I am sure that this topic has been covered on this board before, but...

I remember getting ripped when I was in college because my paper did a story about a bomb threat. Our advisor writes on the red copy "no story unless the ****ing thing goes off!!!"

When did we stop doing this (reporting bomb hoaxes)? Should we go back?

Funny how Fox news ******* about NBC, but I think hearing the voice of the shooter was one of the factors why he was teased. That is more news than a bomb hoax.

Just to start some chatter.

Some kid was found at a high school in Federal Way, Washington, with loaded weapons yesterday.

If anyone has read Malcolm Gladwell's "The Tipping Point," it explains the copycat syndrome pretty well, and how it's likened to an epidemic. In the book Gladwell used the example of teenage suicide in a small community in the south Pacific. Basically, if one person can get away with some sort of destructive scenario it suddenly gives others the license to emulate the behavior.

A college in Michigan was also closed today and throughout the coming weekend because of a bomb scare or some sort of threat.
