The El Paso Times is looking for a top-flight sports copy editor/page designer to fill an immediate opening on its universal copy desk. The ideal candidate has at least three years’ experience designing pages for a daily newspaper using Quark XPress and Photoshop.
We are looking for an innovative designer who doubles as a wordsmith — someone who can write snappy headlines and catch errors and omissions in copy, and do it all on tight deadlines.
A good attitude, excellent language skills and the ability to thrive and work collaboratively in a deadline-driven environment required. This is not an entry-level position, but we’ll take a look at an all-star in the making who has less experience.
