Description: School of the Legends is a new interactive entertainment company, headquartered in Brentwood, Tennessee.We seek an online content editor for our Football vertical whose multimedia journalism skills will help build the foundation to deliver and produce compelling football stories. In the future, School of the Legends will have several vertical companies in the sports field. The content editor is responsible for communicating our brand and business model through online content. Responsibilities include: Create content standards and guidelines for website copy. Develop content ideas and strategies in collaboration with the marketing department and a pool of writers. Assign stories to the writer pool; edit stories; and provide all copy to IT department for posting to website. Work directly with the marketing and social media departments to achieve monthly goals for website hits and subscribers. Create and implement editorial calendars. Ensure that website content development plays critical role in subscriber retention. Experience working with freelance writers or independent contractors is a strong plus.

Background needed:

Experience writing for football/sports strongly preferred. Background in multimedia journalism. Experience in writing, editing, writing headlines, editing photos, etc. Experience in maintaining a website. Familiar with interpreting and tracking metrics. Self-starter and team player. Provide solutions to every-day problems incurred with content. Bachelors degree in journalism. 3-5 years creating or editing online content. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment and familiarize yourself with new topics quickly. Must be well-versed in current web trends and concepts.
 
This company will go under in less than a year. Since these ads are meant for journalists, you would think the writer of the ad would cut out all the buzz words and get right to the point.

Not only is the ad confusing, but this outfit has the worst name since "The Shawshank Redemption."

School of the Legends? Really? Sounds like it was created by the manager of a Chinese buffet.
