Hang in there, Bo. The man can play the guitar.

And thanks to E for helping us remember.

Some more videos of Bo...

(from 2006)

and his commercial...

Made a list one time of all the records that were built around the Bo Diddley beat. Some of the entries were astounding. You never realized it until you listened for it, and then it was always there.
"Magic Bus" is my favorite.

Being a Springsteen fan, "She's the One" is my favorite, although "Aint Got You" is highly underrated

Two other ones up there are "Willie & the Hand Jive" by Johnny Otis and the Strangelove's "I Want Candy" (which Bow Wow Wow did a decent cover of)

In Philadelphia, it's worth 50 bucks

Great call from a great movie, Claws.

Say, what happened to The Baron???

Yes, Trading Places was a funny film. Bo Diddley's expression when Aykroyd's character asks "How much for the gun?" is priceless too.

I'm working on getting a photo of BVR from the play that was written about his life that he's now starring in in Minnesota. I have the text already with my posts, but I just need the photo!

Good luck Bo, you are one of Mississippi's finest.
B.B. King's saying a prayer for you, too, I'm sure.

I'd think "Not Fade Away" by Buddy Holly would be one of the first instances of somebody copping the Bo Diddley riff.
