Since Love, Actually was not on there, I went for It's a Wonderful Life. After owning the VHS all my life, I finally watched it last year and friggin BAWLED when it was over.

Also, why is Christmas Vacation not on this list? I also don't mind The Santa Clause (watched it again last night, I'm a big Tim Allen fan) and Home Alone. I'll take Christmas movies in any form, basically. As long as they don't involve Arnold Schwartznegger.

I love It's a Wonderful Life and have seen it more times than I can remember. To me it is the best Christmas movie of all time. Howeve rmy wife does not like old movies and the 12 year old resists getting into anything Black and White so Elf has become the Christmas movie in our house.

That gets my vote. I can't remember a Christmas where I haven't watched this movie at least a dozen times.

yup. my fave, by a very wide margin.
 
Put me down for A Christmas Story. The best Christmases are always the ones that are far from perfect. Dad getting sick, parents yelling and screaming, doors slamming, and yet on the big day everything turns out right.
 
Lots of omissions from that list. Could have added two or three more and put all The Christmas Carols as one entry, like Miracle was.

I'll go with The Christmas Story.
