You gotta love how the NYT, and everybody in this story, pretends not to know how this guy makes a living.

I don't like that story.

They make it sound like he's just some super fan or pal.

And wouldn't taking Nike gear to Miami players be an NCAA violation?
 
This guy breaks NCAA regulations climbing out of bed in the morning.

Who says he's not paying taxes? What he's doing is against NCAA rules, but not necessarily illegal.

Well, I for one believe that at least some of his income is in the form of cash money.
